A project for National Geographic’s August 2022 print issue and accompanying online story documenting the process behind transdisciplinary artist Erika Blumenfeld's beautiful, poignant, and poetic ‘Tracing Luminaries’ print edition. Created in collaboration with Island Press, this body of work and research honors the women computers of the Harvard College Observatory who played an outsized, yet largely uncelebrated role in crafting our current understanding of the cosmos.
